Their autonomy. Your rules. One statement. Your AI agents can now buy the data, tools and services they need, paying per call over the x402 protocol. ExpenseOS puts your policy in front of every payment: the agent requests, your rules approve, the payment executes in seconds, and it settles on the same monthly statement as the rest of what your company owes.
ExpenseOS drafts & explains, never moves money
Hi, I’m ExpenseOS. Ask what x402 is, how agent budgets work, or how agent spend hits your GL.
02The problem
Agents don’t spend like people. They buy per call, around the clock, in payments too small and too many to review after the fact. Today the choice is a shared virtual card sitting in the agent’s environment, where finance finds out at month end, or no card at all, where the agent stalls every time it needs a paid service. ExpenseOS ends the choice: every payment is checked against your policy before it happens, arrives coded, and month-end becomes review, not archaeology.
The honest trade: pre-approval adds milliseconds, not minutes. Your agent waits for policy, never for a person, unless your policy says a person should look.

04Controls
Payments inside the agent’s budget, to approved payees, at approved amounts, clear the moment they’re requested. The stringent test is yours: you wrote it, ExpenseOS just runs it, at machine speed.
New payees, amounts over threshold, or unusual patterns route to the right approver, same limits, dual control and maker-checker as the rest of your spend. An agent can’t widen its own authority, and it can’t approve itself.
Per-agent, per-payee, per-call: every payment logs what was bought, which rule cleared it, and what it cost. Pause any agent instantly. Give auditors a read-only seat and export any period in one click.
05How the money works
Agent spend joins reimbursements and supplier payments on the same statement: a standard trade payable to ExpenseOS at your flat rate. Never a credit line, no interest, no draw on your facilities.
Payments execute from batch-exact allowances under spend permissions. An agent can never spend more than the allowance your policy set, and unspent allowance returns the same day.
Settle by autopay, or hold a balance in the company vault, a segregated account with regulated partners, never a balance on ExpenseOS’s books. Your rate is the same either way.

06Why we built this
“Every generation of spend got its statement. Diners Club for dinners, American Express for travel, WEX for fuel. Agents are the first spender born without one. We built the statement before the mess.”

08Bring your engineers
x402 is an open standard. ExpenseOS’s payment tools drop into agents built on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and any x402-capable stack, no payment plumbing to write.
Point your agent’s payment tool at ExpenseOS, set the budget with finance once, done. Engineers get unblocked agents; finance gets the console.
Inside the budget, agents never wait on a human. Outside it, the request routes and the agent keeps working on everything else.
